My product isn't working – what do I do?

The first thing to do is check that there is a fault. Take a look through your product manual and quick start guide to make sure everything is as it should be. A lot of faults turn out to be a setting, a child lock or a transit bolt left in, and the manual will often sort it in a couple of minutes.

Online and Click & Collect Orders

If there still seems to be a fault, get in touch with us on live chat, by phone on 059 918 8069 or by email at help@electrocity.ie. Give us as much detail as you can: what's happening, when it started, any error codes, and photos or a short video if you have them. That helps us work out quickly what the next steps are.

In-store Orders

For orders bought in one of our stores, please get in touch with the store directly. They'll have your order details on file. You can find store contact details on our Store Locator.

I have it less than 30 days

If your product is faulty within 30 days of delivery, you're entitled to reject it and get a full refund. If you'd rather have a repair or a replacement instead, that's your choice and we'll get it sorted for you as fast as possible. We might need to confirm the fault first, for example by having it returned to us or arranging an engineer's inspection.

I have it more than 30 days

You can choose a free repair or replacement, unless one of those isn't possible or would cost disproportionately more than the other. If the repair or replacement doesn't happen within a reasonable time, doesn't fix the problem, or the same fault comes back, you're entitled to a price reduction or a refund.

Faults that show up in the first 12 months, that aren't a result of user damage, misuse or normal wear and tear, are presumed to have been there from the start. After the first 12 months, you may need to show the fault was there when you got it, for example with an engineer's report.

Dealing with the manufacturer

You can also deal with the manufacturer directly, for example to book an engineer under their warranty or to use their in-app troubleshooting. Their details are on our Manufacturer Contact Details page.

Nothing here affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022. There's more detail on our Faulty Goods & Repairs page.
