What is humm?

humm is a flexible credit service that lets you spread the cost of purchases across multiple payment terms. You can use humm both online at ElectroCity.ie and in our physical stores.

How much can I borrow?

humm offers flexible credit limits depending on your circumstances. Available credit ranges start from €80. Your approved credit limit will depend on your credit assessment.

What are the payment terms?

Payment options depend on the amount you're borrowing:

• €80 – €499.99: Pay fortnightly or monthly
• €500 – €999.99: Pay over 6–12 months
• €1,000+: Pay over 24–72 months

Interest rates, fees, and available terms may vary depending on the amount you borrow and the specific credit agreement.

What costs should I be aware of?

humm is a form of credit, so it's important to understand the costs involved:

• Application fee: €15.00
• Account keeping fee: €2.00 per month
• Interest rate: Variable, see humm's help centre for more details
• Late fees: Apply if payments are more than 24 hours overdue

Do I need to apply for humm?

Yes, you'll need to apply and be approved before using humm. To apply, you must meet the following requirements:

• Be 18 or older
• Be an Irish citizen or permanent resident of Ireland
• Earn a minimum taxable income of €1,500 per month
• Have a current debit or credit card
• Have a good credit history
• Provide your PPS number and proof of address

Applications are subject to credit assessment and approval.

How to pay with humm online at ElectroCity.ie

1. Login or apply – Visit the humm portal to login or apply for approval
2. Shop – Add items to your cart at ElectroCity.ie
3. Checkout – At checkout, select humm as your payment option (if available for your items)
4. Complete your purchase – Follow the steps to complete your order. Your total purchase must be equal to or less than your approved humm credit limit

Note: Please be sure to include any extra costs, like delivery, extended warranties or installation, in your humm application. 

How to pay with humm in-store at ElectroCity

1. Get approved – Apply for humm approval before visiting the store (or apply online and bring your acceptance code)
2. Shop – Browse items in our store
3. Checkout – Tell the store assistant you'd like to pay with humm and provide your humm acceptance code
4. Complete purchase – The store assistant will help you finish the transaction. You can use your full approval or part pay with humm
