Can I pay with Klarna in-store?

Klarna is available for online purchases at ElectroCity.ie only. We don't currently accept Klarna payments in our physical stores. You can only use Klarna when ordering through our website.

What Klarna payment options are available?

At ElectroCity.ie, we offer Pay in 3 with Klarna. This lets you split your purchase into three equal payments with no interest, as long as you pay on time.

What if Klarna checkout isn't available for my product?

Some products on our site don't allow the standard Klarna checkout option. In these cases, you can create a one-time Klarna card directly in the Klarna app instead.

How do I use a one-time Klarna card?

A one-time card is a virtual single-use card that works like a regular credit card at any VISA-accepting online store, including ElectroCity.ie.

Step-by-step guide:

  1. Open the Klarna app and choose to create a one-time card
  2. Enter your spending amount – the exact total you plan to spend including shipping (minimum €10, maximum €500)
  3. Review your agreement – Klarna will show you a confirmation of your Pay in 3 payment plan
  4. Check your address details – your billing and shipping addresses will be pre-filled if Klarna has them on file
  5. Use the card at checkout – select the credit card payment option at ElectroCity.ie and enter the one-time card details (card number, expiration date, and CVV)
  6. Monitor in the app – if you spend less than the amount you entered, you can request a refund of the unused amount. Otherwise, it will automatically adjust after 14 days

Important to know:

  • Each one-time card can only be used once
  • Unused cards expire after 24 hours
  • An authorisation hold may be placed on your payment card to ensure funds are available for your first instalment
  • Your first payment is debited 24 hours after you create the card
  • Subsequent payments follow your Pay in 3 schedule and are automatically withdrawn
  • You can view your payment plan, pay early, or change your payment method anytime in the Klarna app
